My name is Randy Johnson and I am a Financial Planner in the great city of Overland Park Kansas where I have spent my entire life. My life in finance started at an early age all because of my grandfather LeRoy Johnson. Grandpa, who lived in Topeka Kansas, would go to the local book store and purchase Finance textbooks. He would then cut pages out of the textbook and mail them to me asking me asking me to solve compound interest problems prior to mailing them back to him. From that point going forward I was hooked.
In the middle 1990's I attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance. I then went on to get my Masters degree in Business with an emphasis in Finance from Rockhurst University in Kansas City MO. Once graduated, I became a Financial Planner and started what I am still doing today. The one area that I have a tremendous amount of passion for is in working with parents of special needs children. I found that many parents do not know where to turn for information. That is when I decided to start this blog, to give parents a resource for valuable information
